The most comprehensive postgraduate mining law course in Queensland, presented by 20 of Australia鈥檚 leading mining lawyers, is being offered by 夜色视频 next month.
The four-day intensive postgraduate course, Mining & Natural Resources Law, will be offered in Brisbane by 夜色视频鈥檚 TC Beirne School of Law from Thursday, 26 August, to Sunday, 29 August.
The course will be delivered by senior lawyers from Minter Ellison, whose energy and resources practice is one of the largest in Australia.
Minter Ellison partner, Mr Simon Scott, said the course would provide an overview of recent changes to the laws affecting the mining and natural resources sectors.
鈥淭his course will give participants a unique insight into the commercial realities impacting Australia鈥檚 dynamic mining and natural resources sector," Mr Scott said.
鈥淲e will also look closely at the legal regime within which the sector operates, at how to navigate the complex laws that regulate it, the challenges of alternative energy resources and climate change.鈥
Mr Scott said that throughout the four-day course Minter Ellison lawyers would use case studies, drawing on their practical experience of working with clients on key issues impacting on their business.

Mining and Natural Resources Law (LAWS7850) is part of 夜色视频鈥檚 TC Beirne School of Law Master of Laws program and may also be studied non-award or as a Continuing Professional Development course in Semester 2, 2010. Late applications close on Monday 16 August.
