ҹɫÊÓƵ has met with Translink to resolve staff and student concerns about delays at the Boggo Rd Busway station.

ҹɫÊÓƵ Transport Systems Manager Mr Mark Kranz said the concerns involved empty or half-full buses passing through the bus station while passengers queued in long lines on the station steps.

A Translink representative and Brisbane Transport regional planners who investigated the matter found there was sufficient capacity for ҹɫÊÓƵ staff and students boarding buses at Boggo Rd, but empty or half-full basses were not stopping if a previous bus was already loading passengers at the station.

Mr Kranz said Brisbane Transport would speak to bus drivers to ensure they stop at the Boggo Road Busway station even if a bus is already loading passengers.

Translink would also advise passengers to move along the platform to enable more efficient boarding

He said staff and students catching buses at Boggo Rd should now queue along the platform rather than on the stairs.

Brisbane Transport will also monitor the frequency and spacing of buses, particularly on routes 402 and 412, to see if other actions are required to improve the service.
